UHT Measurement System
The Ravenfield UHT measurement system is designed for operations between 150 and 1700°C, depending on selected options. The instrument is usually configured primarily for measurements of viscosity, but can also be supplied to measure surface tension and density and/ or electrical conductivity and/or thermal conductivity.
The model FG system comprises the high temperature furnace assembly (the cabinet in the photograph) and any or all of the measurement systems. It is usual to supply the viscometer option and one or more other systems.

UHT viscometer sectional view
The viscometer is based on a classic Couette geometry, with a cup/crucible within the furnace. A bob, suspended from an airbearing system is inserted into the liquid.
All materials in the high temperature zone are easily changed, with a few minutes work.
The cup and bob can be supplied in many different materials – we can even offer the drawings of the components to people with platinum accounts !
